Join us for an evening of inspirational speakers, in aid of the Wilderness Foundation UK and supporting the Wilderness Art Collective, sharing our adventurous and therapeutic relationship to water, the impacts of climate change, and other threats to seas and rivers. This special event will take place on Tuesday 24th September 2024, from 7pm-9.30pm at The Royal Geographical Society.
Speakers include:
- Professor Jules Pretty, Professor of Environment and Society at the University of Essex and author
- Mark Agnew, award-winning adventurer who kayaked the Northwest Passage and European Adventurer of the Year 2023
- Amy-Jane Beer, naturalist, writer and campaigner
- Dr Helen Scales, marine biologist, writer and broadcaster
- Paul Rose, explorer, experienced television presenter and radio broadcaster
There will be a cash bar open from 6.30pm.
There will be an interval, raffle and a 5-minute auction during the event.
Guests will also have access to the WATERLINES art exhibition curated by, and showcasing artists from The Wilderness Art Collective. For more information please visit www.wildernessart.org.
Tickets are £15 plus booking fee with all proceeds going towards the Wilderness Foundation UK.
