Making the Most of the Learning Environment - Conference

We are pleased to welcome Ruth Swailes to deliver this inspirational conference.

Ruth supports early years practitioners and leaders across schools, PVI settings and childminding services, with a particular focus on curriculum, pedagogy, play, inclusion, language, writing and child development.

The learning environment communicates what we value, what we believe children are capable of and how we expect them to learn. In this keynote, we will explore how thoughtful indoor and outdoor environments can support children’s increasingly diverse and complex needs, including their communication, regulation, independence, confidence and sense of belonging.

The afternoon workshop will focus on Myth-busting Continuous Provision. Exploring three commonly held misconceptions about continuous provision and enabling environments.

Participants will reflect on their own provision and identify the small changes that could make the greatest difference for the children in their setting.
