Each session is online at the end of the school day, and will feature a range of expert input, tasks, discussion, and opportunities for Q&A. The training will cover a broad range of content, including:
- The current challenges facing LGBT+ inclusion
- Developing a common language
- Curriculum, visibility and representation
- Legal rights and responsibilities
- Challenging discriminatory behaviour
- Community and connection
- Intersectionality
- Leadership
- Allyship and advocacy
Attendees will leave the course with the confidence, knowledge, skills, and approaches to meaningfully develop LGBT+ inclusion within their schools and classrooms. The course is suitable for colleagues at all stages of their career, from trainee and ECT, up to senior leadership. Joining instructions and resources for the course will be shared with attendees ahead of the first session. Sessions will also be recorded, so if you are unable to attend a date, you will have access to the resources after the session.
