Making Equity a Reality: Organisational Commitments and Actions
About this Event
Like it or not… we are in a worse place when it comes to racism in the UK than we were in 2020 when everyone made commitments to antiracism and racial equity. So… if we don’t act now then the youth sector will become a bigger part of the problem and all of us are responsible.
The good news however is that the campaigns, movements and initiatives that have been brought to the sector over these past few years have laid a foundation for us to tackle the issue and now we need to tie it all together!
Join us on Friday 27th November for our fourth annual conference: Making Equity a Reality: Organisational Commitments and Actions.
You are going to co-create and receive the practical action plan for an antiracist youth organisation in 2026 and beyond. You will want to be in this room because EVERYTHING IS ABOUT TO CHANGE!
We don’t do standard conferences. When you attend a TRIUMPH conference, you are guaranteed to leave with:
- Practical actions to integrate into your work.
- Examples and case studies to demonstrate how you can work with your colleagues to increase racial equity.
- Clear solutions you can use, co-create or participate in to advance your commitment to anti-racism.
This year, we are ensuring that our attendees have the answer to the question: what actions should our organisation take to become truly anti-racist?
As opposed to dictating the answers to this question and missing the context, nuance, experience and realities that all of you are navigating, we are going to co-create the answer with you. So, top of the day, we have a blank canvas and through the workshops and discussion spaces, we promise you will leave with the step-by-step action plan ready to take to your organisation and get to work!
That said, it should be clear the benefits of attending are:
- To gain clarity on how antiracist actions differ across different teams and colleagues.
- To establish how organisational policy change converts into changes to practice.
- To understand the best way to hold leaders and colleagues accountable to racial equity over time.
Who is this event for?
- Leaders. Leaders of youth organisations, funders and infrastructure organisations.
- Youth work practitioners.
- Colleagues working for youth sector infrastructure organisations.
- Colleagues working for funders and commissioners of youth organisations.
Panellists and Speakers are to be confirmed.
