Maker Mondays: Stories in Handstitching

If you are looking to build new, creative skills, look no farther than Maker Mondays!
Each month features a different focus. Some sessions offer guided instruction on a specific tool or art skill, while others are open lab times where you can bring your own projects and make use of the Makerspace equipment. Maker Mondays meets the third Monday of each month at 6 PM.
This month, join Carol Weihe to learn how hand stitching quilt squares can become a meditative activity that tells a story. In the summer of 2020, Carol was inspired to begin meditative stitching on little 4" squares, and this evolved into more than just using pretty fabrics and buttons. Each little square would tell a story, and the squares became a stitching journal. Carol will share how she began this project, some of the stories in the squares and how you can easily get started yourself. In this class, you will start your own hand stitched square to take home!
