Calling all science kids and junior engineers! A camera obscura, or pinhole camera, is a device used to project images. When looking through it, an upside-down version of what you’re viewing is projected on a screen inside! Together, we will explore this optical phenomenon by creating our own simple pinhole viewers out of tissue boxes before taking a trip into the garden to take in a pinhole-view of the world around us. This library program is for youth ages 7-11. Registration is required at webtrac.sierravistaaz.gov.
