About this Event

Create a practical keepsake while learning the basics of hand sewing! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will make a charming sewing kit using simple stitches and colorful wool felt & cotton fabric. Along the way, you’ll learn essential hand-sewing techniques, including threading a needle, tying secure knots and sewing with neat, even stitches. Each participant can customize their design to suit their own needs and what they would like to store in the organizer. Are you an embroidery enthusiast? Make a larger pocket to hold your hoop and thread bobbins.

More of a mender? You can add extra space for all of your needles plus a pocket for fabric patches. EPP quilters can add pockets for templates and finished hexies on the go!

Your finished sewing kit will feature pockets for needles, pins, scissors, thread and other small notions according to your needs, making it the perfect companion for mending, travel or future sewing projects.

All materials and tools are provided and no previous sewing experience is necessary. This relaxed, creative workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to build confidence with hand sewing while creating something both beautiful and useful.
