Shawn will share his work and artistic process, followed by a hands-on Squish Painting Workshop designed especially for adults.

Remember making symmetrical paintings by squeezing paint between two halves of a sheet of paper? Shawn brings this childhood art experiment into his own creative practice, transforming it into a playful and surprising way to explore color, shape, composition, and storytelling.

Shawn Harris is an award-winning author and illustrator. He received a Caldecott Honor for Have You Ever Seen a Flower? and has created and illustrated numerous acclaimed picture books, including The Eyes and the Impossible, What Can a Citizen Do?, and A Polar Bear in the Snow. He lives in Northern California, where he writes songs, surfs, and plays racquetball.
