ABOUT
Vetter og villskap
Originally formed in 2021, and a duo since mid-November 2024, Adelaide-based Vetter og villskap (‘Spirits and wildness’) is deeply engaged in exploring commonalities through difference and in storytelling across time and space – with and beyond words. Betwixt, between, and right in a de-centred middle of new traditions and old innovations, the music of Vetter og villskap vibrates with genre-blending and -bending conversations between Scandinavian Folk, Americana and a touch of Eastern influences. The repertoire ranges from somewhat lighter dancing tunes to dark medieval ballads and plaintive ‘tone poems’.
Sacred Resonance
Sacred Resonance emerge from the rich tradition of sound healing, drawing deeply from the work of visionary artists like Iasos, Steven Halpern, Vangelis, Alice Coltrane, Ravi Shankar, Andrew Forrest, and the teachings of Drs. J.J. and Desiree Hurtak. Their music is a convergence of ambient electronica and ancient spiritual wisdom—textured, luminous, and intentionally meditative. Each composition explores subtle harmonic overtones and rhythmic spaces that evoke heightened states of awareness.
Collectif:Arc en Ciel
In an increasingly noisy world, Collectif: Arc en Ciel offers true tranquility: improvised music, created live and in harmony with nature. Beyond simply making music, the goal of this unique group is to provide a focused space for deep listening and gentle renewal of the senses, inspiring innovation, creativity and much-needed calm. When was the last time you truly took a break? No screens, no distractions, just time to think, breathe and listen? Science shows that time spent in mind wandering and listening to music isn’t just relaxing, it boosts clarity, reduces stress and sparks creativity. This immersive, flowing experience invites you into a serene world of deep listening, where music, musicians and nature unite in an unforgettable slow journey of sensory discovery.
Make Music Day is a city-wide celebration of Adelaide’s talented and diverse local music scenes and cultures and supporters of music. On Saturday 20 June from 11am to midnight, 40 venues across the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide open their doors for all to join in the fun of this FREE winter music festival. Make Music Day really is for everyone!
Part of a global movement that began in France as Fête de la Musique, Make Music Day celebrates the creativity, diversity, colour, and energy that define the city as a UNESCO City of Music.
Building on the success of 2025, this year’s carefully curated program showcases both iconic city music venues and unexpected locations. More than 360 individual artists in 107 acts from solo performers and bands to choirs and community groups will transform venues, cafes, bars, galleries, bookstores and public spaces into live performance stages and dance floors.
Check out both our daytime program 11am to 6pm and nighttime program 6pm to midnight to tailor your own Make Music Day trail of discovery. For the full program including accessibility information, go to Experience Adelaide | Make Music Day and start planning your route!
Make Music Day is proudly brought to you on Kaurna Country by the City of Adelaide and our local music community.
