MAKE MUSIC DAY CIRCLE SINGING AT MUSKOGEE LITTLE THEATER
Circle singing will be led by Micheal Rappe, M. Ed. from NSU. Micheal is the Hilldale Public Schools junior high and high school choir and band director. He is also a member of Reversing Radio, the renowned Muskogee-based band.
With leadership support from the Cheswatyr Foundation, Make Music Day’s national program of Circle Singing is an improvised vocal experience where everyone is welcome. Popularized by Grammy-winning artist Bobby McFerrin, circle singing invites people to create music together on the spot, layering harmonies, rhythms, and melodies without sheet music or preparation. It’s about making music in the moment, connecting through sound, and feeling the joy of spontaneous creation.
There is limited space availability for this event, and it is best suited for participants from 6th grade through adult. Parents must accompany all participants under 18 and are encouraged to join in the fun!
Please contact Make Music Muskogee at [email protected] or 918-781-3948 to sign up for circle singing!
