Join Children's Museum of Pittsburgh as we celebrate Make Music Day!
Create instruments from recycled materials all day in the MAKESHOP.
Special guests from Slippery Rock University will help you to Bash the Trash and create a musical instrument to perform in our collaborative concert at 2:00 PM!
Paint along to live music performed by James Gourlay, Artistic and General Director of River City Brass, in the Art Studio from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
Make instruments from gourds at Petra Floyd's Sankofa Sounds program in Tech Lab from 2:00 - 5:00 PM (or while materials last).
These programs are made possible by our partnerships with Slippery Rock University's Early Childhood and Elementary Music Community Engagement Initiative and River City Brass.
