About this Event

The Summit County Hoarding Task Force is excited to hold the in-person Fall 2026 Hoarding Conference, taking place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 8:00am to 4:30pm at St. George's Hall in Fairlawn, Ohio.

Hoarding disorder impacts not just individuals, but entire families, neighborhoods, and field workforces. This full-day conference is designed for a broad, cross-disciplinary audience, bringing together utility field technicians, first responders, housing personnel, elder services staff, healthcare providers, affected individuals, and family members. Rather than abstract clinical theory, the focus will be on practical, compassionate, and actionable strategies that influence everyday encounters and improve community outcomes.

We are honored to feature mental health educator and international public speaker Becca Belofsky as our keynote speaker. Drawing from extensive professional expertise as well as deep personal experience, Becca equips cross-sector teams to bridge the gap between crisis and care, break down stigma, and navigate high-risk, sensitive situations effectively.
