In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll create one-of-a-kind, mixed-media art by combining paint, collage and three-dimensional found objects to transform fashion plate models from popular magazines. Using unexpected materials—think old jewelry, stamps, buttons, beads, and other odds and ends—you’ll bring together colors and patterns that speak to your passions and fill you with joy. This process of assembling has no wrong solutions, only surprising discoveries that breathe new meaning into everyday items. Scientific research shows that creating art can foster mindfulness and peace, helping us set aside the world’s troubles for a few hours of pure, focused fun.
