Join Bay Area animator and educator ANNA FIRTH for a hands-on tutorial on how to integrate miniature screens into sculpture.
About this Event

In this hands-on workshop, you will explore how to turn your digital videos into unique sculptures made from mini video screens and found materials. You will design, discuss, plan, and build the encasement for a mini video screen (under ~7") . While screens are not provided, you will learn about how to source the right screen for your project. Sample screens and media players will be available to test and learn about. This workshop will prioritize and celebrate found, recycled, and reused materials and technology. Basic sculptural materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring personal materials/objects to explore!

ANNA FIRTH is an Oakland-based visual artist. She has a background in video installation, drawing, and animation filmmaking. Anna currently teaches college-level animation in San Francisco.
