Learn the art of custom paddle making. This workshop will begin with a discussion of different types of paddles and woods to be used, along with gluing techniques. You will learn how to prepare the stock and glue up a blade and handle, and then, using a prepared blank, you will cut, shape and finish-sand your paddle.
Finishes and how to decorate your paddle with pyrographic artwork will be discussed. Your completed paddle can be used in the water or hung on a cabin wall.

Registration required. All materials and supplies included. For your safety, wear closed-toe shoes, avoid loose clothing and tie back long hair.
