Are you ready to take the next step on your Makaton journey – if so please join us for a Level 2 Makaton workshop.Level 2 builds on the knowledge gained in Level 1 training and you must have attended a Level 1 Workshop previously.
You will learn the signs and symbols from Stages 3 and 4, and the rest of the Additional stage, of the Core Vocabulary (approximately 120 signs and symbols). We will cover the importance of symbols and how to personalise the vocabulary to meet the needs of the individuals in your family or your workplace.
Each participant will receive a workshop manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs taught in the workshop.
You will also be given a certificate of attendance. Please remember to keep your Level 2 training certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training.
Refreshments will be provided, please bring a packed lunch.
Time and Date
The Makaton level 2 Training session is split over 2 days
on Tuesday 17th September 2024 and Tuesday 24th September 2024
Both sessions start at 10:00 am and finish at 14:00 pm
This includes a break for lunch
Price
£25 Parent carers of people who are non-verbal or have severe difficulties with communication (members of our charity)
£70 Professional Rate for teaching assistants/ care workers/ people who are doing the course for professional development within the disability sector
