Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Serenade for Strings, Op. 48

There's a large variety of music in this program of (mostly) stringed instruments. Montgomery's "Strum" is a salute to American folk idioms and the spirit of dance and movement. Price's "A Game of Cat and Mike" was written for this wife and husband dynamic duo and takes us through the versatility of mandolins, form the Baroque period to modern day Bluegrass. And of course, Tchaikovsky's Serenade is one of THE warhorses of the classical string orchestra canon.
