📚🎶 Back to the Books + Live Music at Whistle Stop Plaza 🎶📚With the first day of school right around the corner, it’s time for Back to the Books on Main Street! From 2:30–4:30 PM, downtown transforms into a walk-through storybook as local businesses feature pages from a children’s book that families can read by visiting shop to shop.
At each stop, kids will receive school supplies, and at the end of the route, every child will take home a copy of the featured book.

At 4:30 PM, switch gears and head to Whistle Stop Plaza for a FREE community evening event. Friends, family, and neighbors are invited to gather in a festive atmosphere featuring live music, dancing, local food vendors, retail vendors, and adult beverages.
🎶 Live Music: Crossing Abbey Road
Experience the timeless magic of The Beatles as Crossing Abbey Road returns to the stage, bringing classic hits everyone knows and loves.
🍴 Food is a mainstay of the evening event, with a great assortment of options available.
🛍️ Local retail vendors will be on site, offering a fun and personal shopping experience for all attendees.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This event is family-friendly.
🍻 Must be 21+ with valid ID to enjoy adult beverages (yes — ID is required for everyone). Alcohol must remain within designated event boundaries.
🌧️ In the event of inclement weather, the events will be canceled.
