Hi All, it's been awhile since we have posted on FB, apologies for that, but we have been busy organizing, and some guys have been busy racing and all of us have been actively riding our bikes through cold, wind and rain. We enjoy doing our part in providing racing and organized riding opportunities and we continue to do so in 2026. On that end, we are presenting the 24th, 25th?, edition of the Scarborough Crit Series and the 5th running of the Mainely Gravel race/ride.
The SCARBOROUGH CRIT SERIES this year constitutes 3 Sundays of racing at the oval shaped Scarborough Industrial Park in Scarborough, Maine. Previous editions were run in April and May but it appeared evident last year that people were sick of riding in cold, damp drizzle EVERY race day. So, this year the races will be held the 3 Sundays of May 31st, June 7th and June 28th. These are USAC sanctioned events. The course is non-technical which makes the racing fast but safe. Head on over the www.BikeReg.com search Scarborough and register for the very reasonable sum of $30.
MAINELY GRAVEL, in its 5th year, continues to up its game. The event this year is Saturday, August 8th, and we have the same challenging courses, we are at Pineland Farms' Oak Hill field for the start and finish, we have @eleven11timing handling the timing and results logistics. Furthermore, lunch sandwiches from Pineland Farms' kitchen can be ordered during registration, the band this year for the after-race picnic scene is the @Leopard Ladies, and sponsors this year include cycling support stalwarts @Pinelbury.us cycling wear (www.Pinebury.us), team and general riding supporters Gorham Bike and Ski, brewers Goodfire Brewing Co., outdoor wear @Stio (www.stio.com). And by popular demand, we have secured the services of the @Lucky Cat Coffee Truck who will service coffee pre-race from 8 to 10am. But there is more that we have done to make riding life easier.
