Join us in Hannaford Hall at USM for a live on-stage conversation between METLN journalists and the cast of the Maine Cabin Masters! Building on our 2026 theme of focusing on Maine storytellers - individuals and groups of people who have defined and shared their own stories about Maine that have found resonance far beyond Maine’s borders - we’ll ask them about what it’s like to run a construction company in Maine (Kennebec Cabin Co) - thoughts on housing in Maine, and what their national popularity says about our state, its’ people, and their stewardship of the way life should be.
ABOUT THE MAINE CABIN MASTERS
The Maine Cabin Masters attempt to save some of the most historic properties in Maine. Chase Morrill, Ashley Morrill, Ryan Eldridge, Matt Dix, and Jared Baker put their construction, restoration, and design skills to the national stage on their show Maine Cabin Masters, which airs on Magnolia Network.
Carolyn Fox is the Executive Editor for the Maine Trust for Local News, and oversees the journalists across all of METLN’s titles. Since 2006, Carolyn has led organizations through the transition to digital journalism, first as a producer for USA Today, then rising from digital producer to director of content initiatives at National Geographic. In 2014, she became director of entertainment for Advance Local, providing content strategy at 11 newspapers across the U.S. From there, she moved to New Orleans to become managing editor of NOLA.com | The Times Picayune. In 2019, Carolyn joined the Tampa Bay Times, where as managing editor, she led a 100-person regional newsroom.
