Main Street of America: Exploring Route 66 - Adults
About this Event
In this engaging discussion, scholar Laura Endicott will discuss the origins of the U.S. highway system, from early calls for better rural roads to the creation of a nationally organized network. We’ll take a special look at the history of U.S. Route 66 in Oklahoma, which boasts more drivable miles of the Mother Road than any other state.
