Our Mahjong Beginner Series is the perfect place to start.
This three-session series walks you step-by-step through the fundamentals of American Mahjong and helps you build confidence through guided practice and play.
Whether you’re completely new to Mahjong or just want a structured way to learn, this series will help you go from beginner to comfortable player in a welcoming, social environment.
✨ The series is $100 and includes three classes:
Mahjong 101 – Learn to Play
Learn the Mahjong tiles, understand the basics of the National Mah Jongg League card, and play your first full hand.
Mahjong 102 – Strategy & Skill Building
Improve your game with guidance on hand selection, Charleston strategy, reading discards, and overall gameplay strategy.
Mahjong 103 – Guided Play & Coaching
Build speed and confidence through guided games with instructor support and real-time coaching.
Throughout the series, players will practice together and build confidence at the table.
After completing the series, players are encouraged to join Tile Tuesday Open Play, our weekly Mahjong night where you can continue practicing and meet other players.
Individual class registration is also available for $40 each
Classes are held in our private back room and limited to 8 players to create a relaxed, focused learning environment.
