Kick off your Friday night and come join Marin Mahjong’s Friday Fun Night. We're kicking off our first Fun Night at Mill Valley Rec "Crazy Rich Asians" style! This is an easygoing evening of Chinese Mahjong and American Mahjongg, connection and community.
Whether you’re brand new or already love the game, this single-night event lets you jump in at your comfort level:
Chinese Mahjong Instruction + Social Play (learn the basics, then play right away)
Social Play Only (for those who already know the game -- open to both Chinese Mahjong AND American Mahjongg). Bring your American Mahj set/mat
What to expect:
• A relaxed, welcoming vibe — mingle and move between tables
• A guided introduction to Chinese Mahjong and its cultural roots
• An appetizer bar to snack while you play
• Light movie playing in the background "Crazy Rich Asians"
• The joyful chattering of tiles and lots of laughter
This is a fantastic way to sharpen your skills, meet fellow neighbors, and experience why Chinese Mahjong is as much about community and connection as it is about the game.
