Players will compete across two rounds, for a total of approximately eight games. Players who are comfortable serving as East for a table are encouraged to volunteer during registration. East players will remain at their assigned table for both rounds while other participants rotate.

Tournament scoring will be based on the value of each winning hand on the official National Mah Jongg League card.
