This is an introductory class for beginners wanting to familiarize themselves with the game of mahjong. Instruction and guided play is 2 hours. Classes are restricted to 8-12 learners in order to maximize instruction and play time. It is highly encouraged to acquire the Mahjong 101 book or the Quick Start Guide to Mahjong 101, as well as the NMJL 2025 Mahjong Card to familiarize yourself with the game before the class. Questions are encouraged. These supplies can be found on home page, under "Shop" and "2025 NMJL Card" section.
Non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks provided. Full menu is available for additional purchase.
Classes are non-refundable, but are transferable to another person for the same event.
