On the island of Maui, we’ll set our long table amidst the extraordinary beauty of the meal’s ingredients. When it comes to choosing where to set the table, there may be no surpassing the lush scenery of the Hawaiian Islands. Our host farmers are the brother-and-sister duo Olena Alec and Kainoa Horcajo of Mahina Farms. The farm, which is Native Hawaiian-owned, focuses on cultivating and sharing indigenous plants as part of its mission to preserve and promote Hawaiian culture.
Guest chef Isaac Bancaco won us over with a charming Youtube video showing off his deep knowledge and care for local ingredients and sourcing. Maui is truly a paradise for a chef. This is our third visit to the beautiful island.
This year, we are honored to highlight and support Fresh Help Maui, a local nonprofit born from the island’s resilient spirit. In the aftermath of the Maui wildfires, Fresh Help Maui has been a beacon of hope—fostering community, compassion, and healing for those affected. Their mission goes beyond rebuilding structures; it’s about restoring lives, relationships, and the deep sense of belonging that defines Maui. Through empathy, inclusivity, and collaboration, Fresh Help Maui continues to uplift individuals and families as they rebuild and reimagine a brighter future together.
