What is Mata Ki Chowki?
Mata Ki Chowki is believed to invoke the divine energy of the goddess, bringing peace, prosperity, and protection to the devotees. It is a way to express gratitude and seek blessings for health, happiness, and success.
What is Maha Kumbh:
The Maha Kumbh Mela is one of the largest and most significant religious gatherings in the world, held every 12 years at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), India. This sacred event draws millions of pilgrims who come to take a ritual dip in the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, believed to cleanse sins and bring spiritual merit
1. Puja (Worship): To avoid overcrowding, the group Puja will be divided into three slots. Based on the registrations, we will form groups accordingly. Please rest assured that we will provide all the necessary Puja samagari (Pooja Thali, Flowers, etc.). The priest will be there to coordinate the Puja and guide us through the rituals
2. Mata Ki Chowki (Bhajans and Kirtans): 5:00 PM onwards, devotees sing devotional songs in praise of the goddess. We will arrange all the musical instruments like the harmonium, dholak, and tabla.
3. Maha Prasad Distribution: 6:30 PM Onwards Following the Aarti, we will distribute Prasad (blessed food) among all attendees. Sharing Prasad is a way to extend the blessings of the goddess to everyone present.
4. Maha Aarti: 9:45 PM, we will perform the Aarti, a ritual where a lighted lamp is waved in front of the deity while singing Aarti songs. This is a significant part of the Puja, and we look forward to everyone’s participation.
