Independence Day Celebration activities may include:
- Reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by cannon fire at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
- Meeting Lady Columbia and Uncle Sam
- Vintage base ball games at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (review the rules of the game!)
- Blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations
- Tours of the Mahaffie Farmhouse
- Stagecoach rides
- Ice cream, root beer, and root beer floats available for purchase
- Regular living history admission applies: $9/adult, $7/child (ages 5–11), free for children 4 and under. Olathe residents receive $2 off admission.
