Join us for a delightful afternoon of tiles, laughter, and connection at our weekly open play event, Mah Jongg at the Maritime, right here in Rockport, Texas!
Every Tuesday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, our Museum education room transforms into a welcoming space where players can gather, unwind, and enjoy the timeless game of Mah Jongg. Whether you’re a seasoned player or simply looking to enjoy a friendly match, this is the perfect opportunity to play in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Plus, now through December 13th, 2026, every time you show up to play, you'll be entered into a drawing for one FREE seat at the 30th Annual Texas Maritime Museum Mah Jongg Tournament taking place on Friday and Saturday, January 29th and 30th at the Rockport Country Club. The drawing will take place on Wednesday, December 14th, and the winner will be notified via phone. Please note that the prize is non-transferable.
Come meet fellow enthusiasts, make new friends, and share in the joy of the game, all while supporting the Texas Maritime Museum.

-$5 for non-members | Free for museum members
-Check in at the Museum Welcome Desk upon arrival
Museum memberships can be purchased at the administration office, and we’re happy to get your registration processed while you play!
Feel free to bring your own tile set, along with your favorite drinks and snacks to Mah Jongg at the Maritime. Tables and chairs will be ready and waiting.
Space is limited to 40 players each week, so we encourage you to arrive early and claim your spot!
