Join us for a small group slow bike ride with a local history and architecture theme. The ride will wind through quiet streets in downtown Pensacola, Belmont Devilliers, North Hill, East Hill and Old East Hill with brief stops at the oldest homes and other significant structures and historic sites in each neighborhood. Riders will move as a group and will ride at a slow, comfortable pace that should be easy for most people. Christian Wagley, executive director of Bike Pensacola will lead the Ride and provide interpretation along the way, ranging from history and architecture to street and neighborhood design.
The Ride will start and finish at Martin Luther King Plaza in downtown Pensacola, located at 50 N Palafox St, Pensacola, FL 32502. If you need to rent a bicycle, two locally owned bicycle shops with rental bicycles are located within one block of the start. Those shops are Bikes Plus and Cycle Joint (E-bikes).
Helmets are required for any participants under 16 as required by Florida law. Bike Pensacola volunteers will be on hand to assist with any mechanical issues.
