Magic: the Gathering themed Singles Night - A Commander Event

Tired of dating apps? Play Magic: the Gathering? Try meeting someone across a Commander table instead.

We’re hosting Commander Singles Nights, a structured, social Magic: The Gathering speed dating-ish experience designed to help you meet new people while actually enjoying the game. This isn’t a tournament. It’s a hosted night of rotating Commander pods, relaxed conversation, and intentional connection.

Each event is limited to 16 players to keep things comfortable and balanced. You’ll play in timed rounds, rotate tables, and meet new people throughout the night. At the end, you’ll privately note who you’d like to connect with, and mutual matches will be shared after the event.

The event is $35 and includes a snack and drink of your choice. Just bring a mid-power Commander deck (fun > sweaty) and yourself!

We’ll also gather a few preferences during registration so the environment feels right for everyone.

After the final round, stick around for a casual post-event hangout. No structure, no pressure, just time to continue conversations and see where things go.

Join our free Learn to Play classes every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. We’ll help you learn the game, build a deck, and feel confident before singles night.

Spots are limited and intentionally curated. Once seats fill, a waitlist will open.

Submitting the form does not guarantee a spot. Players will be selected based on availability and balanced pairings to ensure the best experience for everyone.

Once you complete the registration form, you’ll receive a confirmation within 7 business days, or no later than 2 weeks before the event date.

If selected, payment will be required within 48 hours to secure your seat. This short window allows us to offer spots to others on the waitlist if needed.

Photos and videos may be taken during this event for use on our social media and marketing platforms. We enjoy sharing the community, games, and connections that happen at Critical Hit Games.

We understand and respect that some guests may prefer not to be included. While this is a public event and we cannot guarantee complete anonymity, we will make every reasonable effort to avoid photographing or recording you if you let us know.

Events may be canceled if registration is too low.
