🎉 Perth Magic Players, it's that time again! 🎉Our 3nd Annual Peasant Pioneer Showdown is just around the corner! After last year's massive success with 70 players, we're gearing up for an even bigger and better event and Pat's putting more prizes into this beast!

Pity packs if you fail to top 8, door prizes on the day as well (that ramp up between rounds)
Prizes are not subject to change based on player numbers.
The store will be utilizing a one day beer license so make sure to come with friends and nominate a designated driver if you plan to carry on. Hopefully I'm not cut off the beers again this year 🙁

What is Peasant Pioneer?
A homebrewed format that's based on Pioneer but all decks must be $20 or less (Based on TCG Mid)! It uses the current Pioneer ban list plus a unique ban list updated yearly based on the previous year's meta.
Decklists Rules!
Build a 60-card Pioneer deck with a 15-card sideboard but remember it must be budget friendly - no more than $20 based on TCG Mid prices!

We've also updated the ban list this year to include some of last year's top cards, so make sure to check the list below before brewing.

Decklists to be entered into Moxfield (moxfield.com) with the pricing option set to TCGplayer. Remember you deck must be $20 or less based on TCG Mid prices. Pricing is based on the cheapest variant of each card, but feel free to use any version on the day.
Email your decklist LINK and a screenshot of your mainboard + sideboard with visible pricing to [email protected]
Once submitted, your decklist is locked. If the value goes above $20 TCG market after submission, it won't affect legality. Once submitted you won't be able to edit your deck so make sure you are sure before locking it in!
Basic lands are free on the Moxfield price calculator and do not count toward your $20 limit.
Illegal deck lists submitted before the due date will receive a response for resubmission.
Decklists are due by Wednesday, 10th December at 11:59 PM, so start brewing and get those submissions in early! Don't forget, we'll be using melee.gg and will require deck submission on the platform to track the event's meta. Detailed deck lists will be available during the event for full transparency, so be ready to show off your brewing skills!
