Heart to Heart Herbology, Three Wild Spirits, and Home Brewed Events have come together to explore the magic of mixology with botanicals and coffee at Beekeepers Cafe in downtown Pottstown!
Learn about the history and health benefits of a few key herbs and botanicals. Then, move into the variety of uses that they have in beer brewing, distilling, and cocktails. Enjoy each of the highlighted herbs and botanicals, such as teas, tinctures, and special coffee drinks crafted in collaboration with Carmel from Beekeepers Cafe. The talk will include ethical sourcing and foraging practices, as well as practical uses.
The class will feature:
-Instruction on the history and use of specific botanicals and herbs
-Teas and tinctures of each
-Three special coffee drinks featuring the highlighted botanicals
-Tips and tricks for sourcing and foraging your own
About the Instructors:
The class will be led by Meredith Rebar from Home Brewed Events, who will discuss the use of fermentation, with 15 years in the beer industry. Stef Stuber of Three Wild Spirits, who has over 20 years as a Philly bartender and consultant, will talk about incorporating them to use in cocktails, mocktails, and infusions, and Brooke Johnson, community herbalist and owner of Heart to Heart Herbology, will be talking about the medicinal properties and how they’re used in tinctures, skincare, powders, magically and spiritually, etc.
About Beekeepers Cafe: The Beekeepers Café serves farm-direct, freshly roasted coffee & locally baked treats. Founded in 2022, the local favorite cafe focuses on sustainable practices and is proudly woman-owned.
