The Madison County Women’s Republican Club is heading to the Christian Center in Anderson on Tuesday, August 19 at 5:30 p.m. for an evening of learning, connection, and community impact.
We'll hear from Richard Harvey of the Christian Center about the incredible work being done to support those in need—and learn how you can get involved.

About the Christian Center:
We believe that everyone was created in God’s own image and therefore, no one should be defined by his or her mistakes—We’ve all made them. Nor is a person’s situation their identity. We were all fearfully and wonderfully made. So, whether an individual needs help due to past or present difficult circumstances, The Christian Center believes he deserves the assistance he needs. As a faith-based, inter-denominational organization, we aim to nurture the souls of the individuals who need us, regardless of past decisions. We strive to communicate and demonstrate the forgiveness, acceptance, and growth that Christ offers all his followers.
About Richard Harvey:
Richard Harvey serves as the Director of Community Assistance at The Eleos Center, where he works directly with unhoused individuals and families, helping them transition from crisis to stability through practical support, advocacy, and connection to long-term resources.
With over 30 years of experience in youth and children's ministry-including 8 years as a Children's Pastor, Richard has dedicated his life to uplifting and guiding those in need.
He is academically trained as an elementary school teacher and spent 6 years teaching at the elementary level, then later 12 years serving on a local school board. He also spent 12 years as a small business owner, bringing both structure and entrepreneurial insight to his nonprofit work.
Richard is passionate about engaging the broader community in compassionate, solution-oriented outreach.
Above all, his greatest love is spending time with his wife of 24 years and their two teenage daughters.
