Prepare for the Bhajan-Mandli Garba Mahotsav by learning authentic, traditional garba and raas in a welcoming, community-focused workshop. Rooted in prachin devotional garba, this is not a Bollywood or fusion dance class. You’ll learn the steps, rhythms, and cultural significance of garba as it has been danced for generations.
Suitable for all ages and all skill levels, including complete beginners.
What You’ll Learn
* Traditional garba and raas footwork, rhythm, claps, and dandiya techniques
* The spiritual meaning behind garba, the circle, and dancing in devotion to Maa
* A shared group choreography that you’ll perform together and bring to the Bhajan-Mandli Garba Mahotsav on August 22
What to Bring
* Comfortable traditional or semi-traditional clothing
* Dandiya sticks (bring your own or borrow a pair)
* Water bottle
