Hailing from Preston in North West England, (& living in the shadow of Europe’s longest bus station) Madeline credits the grey skies of suburbia as the catalyst for her desire to create. Her lyrics are haunted by a cynical giddy self-awareness and a fearless dry wit- this itself the vessel for her delicately strung explorations of religion, womanhood and modern-world-living. Now based in London and following the release of her debut single “No One Can Have Me” (As heard on BCC Radio Lancashire), Madeline’s performance at The Ferret will mark her first ever hometown show as part of her Spring UK tour.
Grace’s music hangs somewhere between the melancholy, the holy and the innocent. Musing on faith in a faithless world, her debut EP showcases the Merseyside based songstress in her whimsigothic world of intricate guitar and sweet, conversational vocals.
The first single from Grace’s debut EP, Birdsong, was chosen as one of The Unsigned Guide’s March Spotlight tracks. Having also received radio play from BBC Introducing North East and Folkscene, features from NARC, Joyzine and The New Age Magazine, these forthcoming releases promise to impress. Recorded with Gus White at The Barn in Wiltshire, Grace will tour this album nationally after its release in May 2025, including shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Durham, Leeds and London, accompanied by a run of 10 inch vinyl.
Katie Mac is a singer-songwriter from Huyton who has spent the last 10 years turning her hobby into a flourishing career. Since 2016, she has toured the UK and Europe and has had multiple tracks played on both BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio Merseyside. Taking influence from Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor, she has also been compared to the likes of Patti Smith, PJ Harvey and Kate Bush.
