Made in South Asia - Board games evening
About this Event
Following the fantastic success of our first event, we are thrilled to be running these informal games nights on a monthly basis! Tailored especially for adults and young adults, this informal games night invites you to play and connect through games that have been enjoyed across South Asia for generations. Whether you’re rediscovering childhood favourites or trying something new, it’s a chance to slow down, have fun, and meet others in a friendly, social setting.
Games will include classics such as Ludo, which traces its origins to the ancient Indian game of Pachisi, and Carrom, a tabletop game often compared to billiards, alongside opportunities to explore the cultural histories and stories behind them. Set within the gallery, the evening offers a unique way to engage with South Asian heritage through play and conversation.
Please note:
We ask visitors to book a timed entry slot in advance to help manage capacity and avoid disappointment. A limited number of walk-up places will also be available on the day.
Each timeslot guarantees you at least one hour of play, and if space allows, you’re very welcome to stay and play for longer.
Due to limited capacity, we also ask guests book one ticket per person. If the event is fully booked, we may not be able to accommodate additional guests beyond the number of tickets reserved. If booking as a group, please ensure each guest has their own ticket.
