About this Event
Join Made in NYC for an informative factory tour of three manufacturing facilities in Greenpoint! We will begin at 3pm at Café Grumpy before moving along to Tri-Lox fabrication and design and wrapping up at Hana Makgeolli to taste artisanal Korean rice wine. Please note that guests will be walking as a group between locations, requiring approximately 3/4 of a mile travel distance.
Café Grumpy: Café Grumpy is an independently owned coffee company in Brooklyn.
Tri-Lox: A circular design, fabrication, and manufacturing practice that works with sustainable wood sourced from regional forests and deconstruction.
Hana Makgeolli: Producer of artisanal Korean rice wine. Crafted with traditional methods and organic ingredients, their brews honor heritage and offer bold, complex flavors with a comforting, homegrown spirit.
This tour is being offered as part of Made in NYC Week 2025, our seventh annual event series celebrating the local manufacturing and maker community and is organized in partnership with Evergreen Exchange, an economic development corporation founded in 1982 that champions manufacturing, creative production, and industrial businesses in North Brooklyn and beyond – offering an array of services including financing assistance, educational programming, and real estate search guidance.

Info: Café Grumpy is an independently owned coffee company founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Caroline Bell and Chris Timbrell in Brooklyn. Sourcing specialty coffee and maintaining positive relationships with coffee producing partners is the foundation of Café Grumpy’s coffee program. Roasting is done in their Greenpoint facility on a vintage Probat roaster. Certified Woman-owned Business Enterprise.
