On Saturday 13 May, Corrientes Social Club welcomes two artists who embody the living culture of Buenos Aires tango, bringing to London an evening shaped by tradition, knowledge, and the experience of the milonga.

💃 Open Level Tango Class– 9:00 PM. We are delighted to host Pablo Nievas, an established dancer and teacher based in Buenos Aires, where he runs his own tango school and teaches regularly within the city’s vibrant tango scene. His work is deeply rooted in social dancing, with a focus on connection, musicality, and clarity — the essential elements that define tango as it is danced, not performed. Alongside his continuous teaching in Argentina, he is invited internationally to share this approach with dancers seeking an authentic and grounded understanding of the dance. Open Level class on Improvisation and embellishments, multiple options from the same figure.
🎧🎶 Milonga starts at 10:00 PM
TDJ Emilia Andrada, part of a new generation of Buenos Aires DJs whose work bridges tradition and musical insight. With a postgraduate degree in Tango History and training at the Argentine Tango Institute under Ignacio Varchausky, Emilia brings a rare depth to her musicalisation. Her tandas are not only elegant and danceable, but thoughtfully constructed, drawing on a deep knowledge of orchestras, styles, and the emotional architecture of the milonga. The result is a dance floor that feels both authentic and alive, shaped moment by moment in dialogue with the dancers.
