Join us in a united effort with Trash Pirates of Mad Beach, Old Salts and City of Madeira Beach Municipality Marina to protect and rejuvenate our waterways by participating in a land and sea cleanup initiative. FREE FOOD organized by Crabby at the Marina 1130ish 💙
You can start anywhere you want, if you already have supplies, go anywhere and then come back to the marina when you are ready to offload. You can start at the marina and then walk down to Gulf Blvd, drive somewhere nearby (park, beach access, etc) opportunities are endless. Trash on the streets/sidewalks is just as important as trash on the beach.
If you are going by water, you can leave whenever you want but please be back at the dock at the marina to offload trap debris by 1130.
If you are on the water, make sure you have work gloves. The abandoned traps are full of growth. You should have tinsnips or wire cutters to bang the opening of the stone trap if necessary and to cut an opening to free any crabs or fish from the blue traps.
