✓Distance: 20 km round trip (Met Camp – Mackinders Camp – Met Camp)
✓Starting Altitude: 3,048m ASL
✓Highest Point: 4,300m ASL
✓Duration: 7–10 hours (depending on pace & fitness level)
✓Difficulty: Challenging to tough.
✓Elevation Gain: 1,252 meters
🌿Trail Features.
✓Terrain: Steep inclines, uneven paths, and marshy vertical bogs in the moorland zone
✓Scenery: Spectacular views of Mt. Kenya peaks, Teleki Valley, and glacial lakes
✓Flora & Fauna: Encounter giant lobelias, groundsels, and possibly mountain wildlife
Preparation Tips.
✓ Fitness: Ensure good physical conditioning, this is a high altitude challenge
