Ο Maceo Plex αποτελεί μια από τις πιο σημαντικές μορφές της underground ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής, συνδυάζοντας techno, IDM και house σε έναν ξεχωριστό ήχο.Γεννημένος στο Μαϊάμι από Κουβανούς γονείς, ξεκίνησε την πορεία του στη rave σκηνή των 90s, εμφανιζόμενος αρχικά με το όνομα Maetrik.Η παγκόσμια αναγνώριση ήρθε μετά τη μετακόμισή του στη Βαλένθια το 2010, με κυκλοφορίες που έφτασαν ταυτόχρονα στην κορυφή πολλών charts .Μέσα από τα aliases Maceo Plex, Maetrik και Mariel Ito, συνεχίζει να εξελίσσει τον ήχο του και να επηρεάζει τη σύγχρονη dance μουσική.
Ο Marcel Dettmann με καταγωγή από την πρώην Ανατολική Γερμανία, εξερεύνησε από νωρίς τον ηλεκτρονικό ήχο επηρεασμένος από new wave, post-punk και industrial, πριν αφοσιωθεί στην techno. Στενά συνδεδεμένος με το Βερολίνο και το Berghain, αποτελεί εδώ και δεκαετίες μια εμβληματική μορφή της παγκόσμιας σκηνής.Από τα τέλη των 90s είναι resident σε ιστορικά spots όπως το OstGut και το Berghain, ενώ ίδρυσε και τη δισκογραφική MDR.Οι κυκλοφορίες και τα mixes του ισορροπούν ανάμεσα στο μινιμαλιστικό και το raw, το συναισθηματικό και το απρόβλεπτο.

Maceo Plex is a pioneering figure in underground electronic music, known for blending techno, IDM, and house into a distinctive sound.Born in Miami from Cuban parents, he built his career from the 90s rave scene, performing early on as Maetrik and producing innovative electronic music.He reached global recognition after moving to Valencia in 2010, with releases that topped multiple charts genres simultaneously.Constantly evolving through his aliases Maceo Plex, Maetrik, and Mariel Ito, he remains one of the most influential and creative artists in modern dance music.
Marcel Dettmann, originally from former East Germany, began exploring electronic sound early on, influenced by new wave, post-punk and industrial before dedicating himself to techno. Closely connected with Berlin and Berghain, he has been an iconic figure of the global scene for decades.Since the late ’90s he has been a resident at legendary venues such as OstGut and Berghain, while also founding his own record label, MDR. His releases and mixes balance between the minimal and the raw, the emotional and the unpredictable.
