The Autumn Equinox is approaching - the middle point between Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice. The mid-point of the descent to the dark. Part of the magnificent wheel, the cycle of life. The Mabon ritual gives thanks for a plentiful harvest and recognizes the need to share the Earth’s fruits in the coming winter months. It is a time of great balance and a time to center and ground ourselves to the earth.
Community of Consciousness invites you and your family to join us in celebrating this turn of the wheel. Mabon Family Camping Weekend offers fun, classes, community, and ritual for all of those who attend. The weekend will focus on Relaxation, Rejuvenating, Grounding, and Getting to Know Thy Neighbor. Ritual, which is written by our very own High Priestess, Lorelei, will be enriching, warm, and all the things needed.
***Friday Evening will be a potluck, as many will be coming in at different times and setting up camp. Since this is the last harvest solstice, feel free to bring a dish that is Harvest Themed (or whatever you feel called to make/buy/share. Please keep in mind that there are many food allergies in our community, so we ask that you label everything that is in your dish.
***Saturday Breakfast will be eggs, sausage, toast, oatmeal and fruit. Gluten free options are also available upon request (Please let us know what your allergies or dietary needs are when purchasing your tickets).
***Saturday Lunch will be Homemade Soup and Sandwiches.
***Saturday Dinner will be Shepard's Pie or Mushroom “Shepard's” Pie, Salad & Rolls.
***Sunday Breakfast is a pancake breakfast; all you can eat while supplies last. Gluten Free options are available.
*** Please Note: Meals are subject to change. A meal plan for the whole weekend will be available for $45 (this includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, along with breakfast on Sunday). Ala Carte may be available, please reach out to us for prices. Water is always available at no cost.
Tickets for the weekend are $30 per person ($25 for members, $45 for vendors) and 1¢ per child under 18 years of age (as this helps us with an overall headcount as children eat free). The ticket price includes camping and materials for all classes, ritual, and activities for the weekend. These prices are for pre-purchase only and are NOT available for refunds. Ala Carte meals may be purchased if extra food is available.
This is primitive camping, so please pack and dress accordingly. There is well water, porta potties, sinks, and solar powered showers available for use. Property rules can be viewed on our website, and a paper copy can be provided at check-in. Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID when checking in. So come join us for Mabon, a time to give thanks for the abundance of food and the harvest, to thank the universe and community for their gifts and their sacrifices, appreciate what we have in life and give thanks for all our blessings no matter how small they may be.
(PS: We would also like to note that if anyone would like to donate anything, including services {such as readings, etc.} to our raffle, it would be greatly appreciated. 100% of proceeds go to Community of Consciousness for grounds up keeping such as cleaning the porta potties, future events, and making the property more efficient)
