Join George Schwartz, the Peabody Essex Museum’s Curator-at-Large, and Christopher Locke, the Lynn Museum & Arts Center Collections Manager, for a dynamic and engaging conversation about Lynn’s role in the Spiritualist movement.Dive deeper into the lore of Dungeon Rock and the Spiritualist experiences at High Rock. Following the program, attendees are encouraged to visit the High Rock Observatory.
Light refreshments will be available. The program is free, and all are welcome!
For those interested in joining us at the High Rock Observatory, the site will be open from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Please note:
• The tower has no bathroom or water facilities, so please advise visitors to plan accordingly. The tower is also open to the elements, so please dress warmly.
• Attendees can walk or drive to High Rock Tower from the Museum, but they should be advised that it's a 10-15 minute walk with many stairs. The stairs are found at the base of High Rock reservation near the intersection of Essex and Liberty Streets.
• If driving, please use Circuit Ave as your destination. Parking for High Rock Tower is along Circuit Ave and the adjoining roundabout.
• The base of the tower is accessible via ramp or stairs with a great view of Downtown Lynn and Boston, but patrons are advised the tower itself is only accessible via stairs.
