Lymington Afloat FESTIVAL WEEKEND
Saturday 28 + Sunday 29 September
There are TWO pontoons where you can clamber on board and explore boats for FREE! Access to the pontoons will be from 10am-4pm. To keep things safe, we are controlling numbers onboard BOOK YOUR TIMED SLOT.

TOWN QUAY
: Inshore fast Naval Patrol and Training vessel
: A Harbour Defence Motor Launch and the first allied vessel to Omaha Beach on 5 June, 1944
‘Hunter’ a coastguard training vessel
an all-electric motorboat (sorry not for boarding)
‘Eric and Susan Hiscock’ a Severn Class lifeboat and the largest class in the RNLI fleet (Sunday only)
HARBOUR MASTERS PONTOONS
Two WW11 vessels from the Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust:
: MGB81 participated in the Normandy Landings June 6th1944. Rebuilt by Berthon in 2018.
HSL102 participated in the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR SAFETY
· Time slots have been arranged to control numbers and ensure safe access to the pontoons, whilst allowing as many people as possible time to visit vessels and leave the pontoons on time.
· Please arrive a few minutes before your arranged time to avoid congestion and always follow marshal instructions.
· Each visitor will be given a coloured token on entering the pontoons which must be returned on leaving the pontoons. Late arrivals must leave the pontoons at the end of their allocated slot.
· To be fair to everyone, please do not stay on the pontoons beyond your time slot.
· Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Wear suitable shoes as pontoons may be slippery if wet.
