LWXX - Le Weekend, Late Model, The Wigg Report, DJ Matt Welborn at the Shadowbox

Sat Nov 14 - Doors 7, Show 7:30
You don’t expect a tree in the parking deck to last long, but sometimes they grow unnoticed.
Apropos of something, Le Weekend has dodged the W**d pullers for two decades now. We’ve ridden the tide (switching metaphors here) of unpopular demand, taking +/- forever to come out with new records or book shows, while our brave local community has never ONCE complained. Growing (oh, we’re back on the plant thing) into a professional-esque group of friends who seem to sort of know what they’re doing, may have practiced recently, and appear to be having fun up there.
By the power vested in me by the state of anxiety, let’s see if we can pull this off: a fun show with friends Late Model, The Wigg Report, and Matt Welborn (DJ'ing) on approximately the 20 year anniversary of the first show (of ours, not ever). We’ll record the set for a live album, or rather Nick Petersen will. Some of the live recordings of the newest of the new songs will be our starting point for the next “mostly studio” album. Surprises will, if not abound, be represented.
See you there.
