LWVWI Annual Meeting 2026

Over 106 years, League has built a legacy of education, advocacy, and political activism - fighting oppressive systems by empowering voters and defending democracy. While this same fight persists, its form has shifted. In this moment, we face a Constituitional Crisis. How has League changed to meet the occasion, and what does it mean for the organization? Learn where we've been, where we're going, and how League remains a grassroots powerhouse as we hurtle into uncharted territory.

THIS CONFERENCE IS HYBRID WITH BOTH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL ATTENDANCE OPTIONS.

If you have financial need, there is a reduced-fee ticket option. Regular in-person and virtual tickets are priced to cover our fees to host the event (live-streaming, AV, venue, food & beverage, speaker fees, etc). We appreciate your generosity in helping us recover our costs to provide quality speakers and programming.

Please join us IN PERSON on Friday, May 29th, and Saturday, May 30th at the Hilton Garden Inn, Wausau. Hotel and attendee check-in begin at 3pm on May 29th, and the conference concludes at 4:30pm after the plenary session on May 30th.

Friday AND Saturday's IN-PERSON programming will be live-streamed for virtual attendees.

FRIDAY: Check-in and registration will begin at 3pm with welcome and announcements at 5pm, followed by dinner, a keynote presentation , and time afterward for networking. Scheduled programming concludes at 8:00pm. A post-program social will occur between 8:00pm - 10:00pm.

SATURDAY: Hotel check-out and breakfast followed by a League "resource overview", presentation of the Meg McLane Award for Advocacy, Parade of Leagues, a keynote address, breakout sessions, and plenary.

When is the Registration Deadline?

The registration deadline for IN PERSON attendance is May 15th. VIRTUAL registration will close May 28th, 2025.

What is included in the registration fee?

The IN PERSON registration fee provides access to all scheduled programming. Coffee and tea will be available all-day and meals include Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and Saturday lunch. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. (Note: we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination doesn't occur).

The VIRTUAL registration fee provides access to scheduled programming including Friday and Saturday's keynote presentations, participation in the breakout sessions and the plenary.

How do I Make a Hotel Room Reservation?

LWVWI has reserved a block of rooms for the evening of Friday, May 29th - Saturday, May 30th at Hilton Garden Inn Wausau: 151401 County Rd Nn, Wausau, WI 54401. The rate is $169/night (King bed) and $159/night (2 Queens). To make a room reservation, call 715-298-5775. Ask for the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Annual Meeting Block. You can also reserve a room online Check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out is 11:00am.

*The deadline to take advantage of the special rate is April 29th, 2026. Reservations made after that date are subject to market prices set by the hotel.

The hotel is connected to the conference center, so no transportation is required.

Where do I park?

The Hotel and Conference Center has a surface lot that is first come, first served with no associated fees. Parking for those with disabilities is available in this lot on a first come, first-served basis.

Do I need to be a member of LWVWI to attend this Conference?

Anyone can attend LWVWI's Annual Meeting. Only League members may participate in and vote during the Plenary Session. If you're interested in joining the League, membership information will be available at the League registration table.
