About this Event
Join New Hope Area League of Women Voter in a walk for voters rights! There are two starting points, Robbinsdale City Hall and New Hope City Hall, walk with the group to meet in the center at Almsted's Food, across from Crystal City Hall. Bring your own voting rights sign, banner, flag or balloon. Please keep messages nonpartisan-no names.
Water and an Almsted's donut or roll awaits you at the end.

Walk #1 Robbinsdale City Hall, join Julie and walk west to Douglas Dr

Info: Join Julie and other League and community members in a walk to promote and protect voting rights. The group will gather at Robbinsdale City Hall, together walk west along the north side of 42nd Ave displaying signs, banners, etc. promoting voting, voter registration, protecting voters' rights. The group will meet up with the group that started at New Hope City Hall, enjoy a cold glass of water and Almsted donut before dispersing. Optional, shuttles will be available to take walkers back to their cars at the starting point.

Thank You For Voting: the….Truth About Voting in America, Book Discussion

Info: Join the New Hope LWV and community members at the Rockford Road Library for a discussion on the book, "Thank You For Voting: the Maddening, Enlightening, Inspiring Truth About Voting in America" by Erin Geiger Smith. There will be Voting Rights Act bookmarks for attendees and a drawing for two books on the subject of voting.
