Join us for a meet-up at the Bismarck State Capitol on Thursday, September 4th at 12:30pm. LWV Bismarck-Mandan members will host the meet-up and introduce you to an interim committee meeting of the ND Legislature.
Meet in the cafeteria at 12:30pm (look for the LWV sign on the table), then the group will attend the Interim Human Services Committee meeting on the Study of Accessibility for Individuals Who Are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Have Hearing Differences. The committee meeting starts at 1pm in the Rough Rider Room.

What is the "interim"?
The interim is the time between regular legislative sessions, when the legislature is not formally in session to pass laws, but they are still active. In North Dakota, the interim is when committees made up of state lawmakers meet to study assigned topics.
