Tom Welter, Speaker
Tom, a member of the Seneca County Genealogical Society, has deep roots in Seneca County dating back to the 1830’s. Several of his family came from Luxembourg, as did many of our other pioneers, especially in Big Spring Township. Tom will present a brief history of the Duchy, its relationship to Belgium, German and France and then focus on the many immigrants who came and stayed in Seneca County. Familiar names include Clouse, Strasser, Bakies, Collets, Grine, Kalmes, Boes, Decker, Warnement, Wagner, Welter and Weinandy. Please come and explore your roots.
